The PIE benefit concert at the Union Church on Sunday, July 10th
featuring the Cassatt Quartet, Eliot Fisk, and Art Baron was incredible! The program featured a string quartet inspired by Brazilian bossa nova, Spanish pieces for solo guitar, an energetic “Fandango” by Boccherini for guitar quintet, and finally a swinging medley of Duke Ellington pieces for strings, with Art Baron on trombone. It was a tour de force all around! We are very fortunate to experience this caliber of performance right here on Vinalhaven.
